Yum! I know that this is just probably a plain ol' recipe and you're all wondering why I put it on here..not that it's bad, but because everyone knows the most famous cupcake flavor of all...VANILLA!!:) It is a classic that will never die out. Even though it is so old, there are so many new interpretations of it that its unbelievable.! All the new healthy ways to make it, new icing jobs, new new new everything is becoming hard to keep up with..so that (once I get my blog completely going) is one thing that I'm going to help people & myself keep up with..haha. Below is one of the many recipes of vanilla cupcakes.

Vanilla Cupcakes:
1/2 cup softened butter
3/4 to 1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 cup cold milk

Preheat oven to 350°F.
Bake Time: 18-24 minutes.
Yield: 12 cupcakes.
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
In a separate bowl, stir together all dry ingredients. Add to butter mixture; stir in milk.
Bake away!!
