Cake Pops!

Yes, there was only one white cake-pop...haha.

We thought it'd be cute to add a heart <3

Well, we are officially happy with our finished product. Now...we did make our cake-pops a little bigger than they are usually supposed to be, but we wanted to do our own interpretation of them.:) Eventually we will start doing cool shapes and designs on our cake-pops, but for our first time making them we just wanted to do something simple. We hope you all like them, we will eventually get way way better at this and make amazing cake-pops.:)

   If you are curious...
We took just a regular ol' box of french vanilla cake mix, baked it and let it cool overnight (some like to make them from scratch & that works too--they just crumble better from the box). When we woke up the next day, we crumbled our cake into a giant bowl and added one jar of vanilla frosting and mixed it around....but I would watch how much frosting you put into it...ours were on the sweeter side, so it depends how sweet you like things. Then we took an ice-cream scooper and scooped them up one by one and rolled them into balls and placed them on a large cookie sheet.:) We placed our cake pop sticks into our cake balls and froze them. We melted baking chips of chocolate in the microwave and dipped and covered each one with our milk chocolate.
The way we decorated them was just by taking a teeny tiny--eensy weensy baking tip and placing it on a plain baggie (we ran out of bags) and put our white chocolate into the baggie and we drizzled it along the sides of them. On the white chocolate covered cake-pop, we just dipped it in white chocolate and added about 5 drops of red food coloring (varies by coloring)  to the chocolate and it made it pink & we had a nice pink drizzle.

If you wanna play with it--
It might also be really cute to add edible sparkle powder to the drizzle chocolate, then place it into your baggie so that when you drizzle your chocolate on top it has a nice, shiny, sparkle to it.:)
We have also seen candy be placed onto them as well.--that'd be cool.

Welp, that is all for the cake-pops....for now. We will definitely be making more SOON. The next ones wont be so simple though--we are going to big time decorate them..so, if you have any cool ideas on which ones we should do, feel free to comment...(exp: fast food, Muppet, holiday, animals..)...So, whichever ideas you want to see us do first, please request them so we can do them and show you.:)

Also, dont forget to check our our Dessert page, we posted floral cupcakes we just made as well. :)

Thank you for reading this rather long post.

                      Love,  Jaden & Sophia <3
